General Practice Data for Planning and Research (GPDPR)
The current data extraction that takes place from your GP system (GPES) is going to be replaced with a new system called the General Practice Data for Planning and Research (GPDPR) under legal legislation (General Practice Data for Planning and Research (GPDPR) – NHS Digital)
Sharing Information | North East London Health & Care Partnership (eastlondonhcp.nhs.uk)
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
“All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Tulasi Medical Centre in the last financial year was £59,948 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 2 full time GPs, 5 part time GPs and 4 locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.
However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.”
Update on Surgery Management
We are pleased to inform you that the temporary management of our practices in Ripple Road in Barking and Bennett’s Castle Lane and Parsloes Avenue in Dagenham by Together First CIC has now been terminated and the contacts have been handed back to surgeries.
The arrangements were put in place following inspections by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in May and June 2022, which identified a number of areas where we needed to make improvements.
Working closely with the regulator, and the local NHS, we came up with an action plan to address these concerns and have successfully delivered a number of actions to date towards improving safeguarding, medicines management, access, health and safety, referrals and our leadership structure.
While significant progress has been made, it is important to acknowledge there is more improvement required before our CQC rating can be reviewed.
We will continue to work hard to address these issues as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we would also like to welcome new partners into the practice:
· Dr Deeksha Kashyap
· Dr Kanika Sharma Rai
· Dr Amit Sharma
· Mr Sandeep Sharma
· Dr Shanika Sharma
The surgeries will continue working as usual. You will still be able to see a GP or practice nurse when you need to, so you should continue to book and attend all appointments as usual. You do not need to re-register with the practice.
If you have any questions or concerns, please speak with your local surgery.
Attend on time for appointment
Due to the extreme pressure on general practice services, if you are 10 or more minutes late for your appointment the Doctor/ Nurse may not be able to see you.
